Vijay Mallya about Force India

Next season will see the introduction of several key changes to the Formula One regulations. Singapore pit building sign off

Race organisers of the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix are celebrating after work was completed on the track’s new pit building. With the race in Singapore just two months away, the new three-story structure has been erected along the city’s marina promenade. It will house team garages for each of the competing teams, while the upstairs will be home to the winners’ podium, race control facilities, the media centre and a Paddock Club large enough to cater for up to 4,000 guests. “Even before the launch of the Paddock Club packages, we have had huge interest from the who’s who of the Formula 1 community,” Colin Syn, Deputy Chairman of Singapore GP said as the new structure was launched. “And it is great to have a purpose-built facility to deliver a world-class corporate hospitality that will enable guests to experience the excitement of the Singapore Grand Prix up-close and in-style.” The Singapore Grand Prix in September will be the first ever night race on the F1 calendar.
